Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and other close responsibilities for debt, equity, G&A, and joint ventures

  • Prepare monthly sales reports, accounting entries, and financial statements for our joint ventures

  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, including filings to the SEC, by:

  • Preparing monthly financial statements for internal distribution

  • Create and maintain financial statement and other key reports within our reporting tool

  • Preparing footnotes, financial statements, MD&A, and exhibits in our 10-Q and 10-K filings

  • Assisting with any other SEC filings and census reports

  • Create and maintain financial statement and other key reports within our reporting tool

  • Providing required documentation/support to external auditors for their quarterly reviews and year end audits

  • Ensure account balances are accurate, recorded in compliance with GAAP and reflect the activities of the Company by:

  • Establishing and maintaining procedures and controls to ensure all assigned account reconciliations are accurate and timely in support of SOX compliance

  • Reviewing assigned account reconciliations and identifying where adjustments are needed

  • Assist in preparing technical accounting memorandums and performing necessary research

  • Assist with providing support for external consultants to prepare federal, state, and sales-and-use-tax filings

  • Establishing and maintaining financial reporting procedures and controls in support of SOX compliance

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS, Accounting preferred

  • CPA required (or currently being pursued)

  • Prior experience in public accounting (working with financial reporting for public companies)

  • Minimum of one year working with public clients and SEC reporting required

  • Excellent knowledge of SEC rules and regulations and US GAAP

  • Financial analysis skills

  • Excellent organization and planning skills, attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word

  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain productive working relationships cross- functionally

  • Experience with any of the following systems a plus: Active Disclosure, Workiva, or other SEC Reporting; Great Plains or any other accounting software; Cadency (Trintech) or any other balance sheet reconciliation; Planful or any other financial reporting tool

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2021 12:00:00 AM 2022-02-14T00:00 JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst will support leadership's growth, effectiveness, and efficiency initiatives across the company through the utilization of business intelligence systems and data analysis. This role will be deployed across the business, typically working on multiple projects at a time. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Leverage business intelligence systems, robust data analytics, and strategic thinking to perform analysis related to the Finance team's current initiatives and effectively communicate findings * Utilize database technologies and Excel to develop, improve, and/or maintain standard reporting processes and design new analyses in collaboration with management * Prepare and distribute certain regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports, budgets, and forecasts using best technological practices * Provide support to the Finance team on cross-functional projects including (but not limited to) work related to operations, revenue management, capital investment analysis, group sales, and specific property performance * Provide as needed support for corporate and senior management, including (but not limited to) annual strategy reviews, corporate budgets, executive leadership team/board of director presentations, and corporate transactions (e.g., corporate financings, M&A activities, etc.) * Assist in preparation of materials for internal reporting to senior management/owners by identifying appropriate metrics, collecting data, synthesizing findings, and presenting pertinent information * Identify issues, opportunities, and their key drivers through analyses performed/reports prepared, present conclusions to management * Proactively seek out opportunities to better inform the team's data-driven decisions through improved quality of data presented. * Assist with Labor Management System REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum four year degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Hospitality, or related field. * Demonstrated interest in working with database systems. * Excellent analytical skills and detailed knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. * Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
