Financial Analyst

DNA Genetics and Pillen Family Farms are seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to join their Columbus team. This position will develop, supply and analyze data in cooperation with CFO, CEO, and finance team as deemed necessary in order to make key financial decisions.. It will also involve annual budgeting and assisting with the year-end audit as part of a team of CPA's and accountants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations

• Researches and analyzes expense data, reports on costs in summary and in detail. Provides input on potential changes to processes affecting costs and assists in understanding variances in expenses compared in periods of time and compared with budgets.

• Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies and other reports requested by management.

• Assists with formulation and implementation of internal controls and assists with management of business information system.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

• 5 years of related accounting or financial analyst experience

• Strong problem solving, analytical, multi-tasking and organizational skills

• Ability to manage projects and prioritize workload effectively and independently and within a team

• Proficiency in MS Office and High proficiency with Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with financial systems and databases, creating reports, queries, and dashboards is desirable; may include Excel, Microsoft Power BI, SSRS, Prophix or others

• Ag and/or Livestock background is preferred.
