Financial Analyst

• Oversee/conduct daily, weekly, and monthly costing activities accurately and promptly to support R&D and G&A activities.

• Diligently monitor data integrity to ensure cost accuracy for appropriate vitality metrics as well business decision.

• Analyze key drivers of product costs, including material, labor and overhead analysis as it flows through our NPD process and files.

• Provide product analysis including but not limited to gross margin analysis, labor, and overhead cost analysis, and develop models for special projects as necessary.

• Analyze actual SG&A costs in preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

• Create monthly forecasts, and standard variance and monthly KPI reporting.

• Key member of the annual budgeting process.

• Track and analyze labor efficiencies and report results to management.

• Performs journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned areas.

• Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• 3-5 years of Accounting and Analytic Experience in a manufacturing environment

• Expert knowledge and proficiency in Excel (Advanced)

• Expert knowledge and proficiency in SAP

• Expert knowledge and proficiency with PowerPoint and other MS Office applications including Word and Outlook

• Driven and prepared to take a hands-on and proactive approach to work.

• Position demands critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to have the highest standards of accuracy and precision. Ability to identify options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.

• Ability to work collaboratively, partner, and support other functions.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Standard Pay Scale for external job posting for positions in Colorado,

Base Salary Range for this position is: $74,000 to $87,000 and bonus target is 3% ; shift premium may be available depending on shift associated with the specific job opportunity. Benefits including Medical, Rx, Vision, Dental, and Health Savings Account (HSA), Retirement and Security benefits including 401k and Life Insurance. In addition to Paid Time Off and paid Holidays, each employee receives 16 hours paid time each calendar year to perform volunteer services for Nordson-sponsored events.
