POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for research, analysis and reporting of revenue cycle metrics across all Steward Facilities. The analyst will also be a core member of the Steward Revenue Operations Analyst Development program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of daily, weekly and monthly analysis and reports

  • Assist with ad-hoc special projects aimed at improving hospital operations and financial performance

  • Travel to Steward Facilities to observe and report on field operations

  • Performs other duties as requested.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong interest in healthcare

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL is a plus, and statistical analysis

  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Access or other database software, including table management, query design and data importing and exporting a plus

  • Understanding of drivers of financial performance and statistical concepts

  • Independent worker able to prioritize work to meet the needs of the organization and deliver regular and ad-hoc research, analysis and reports in a timely manner

  • Highly detailed and organized

  • Excellent communicator (both oral and written communication)

  • Ability to work successfully with a range of team members, from entry level to executive level employees

  • Academic or professional experience in Business, Accounting, Finance preferred

Electro-Optical (EO) Innovations is located in Richardson Texas and has more than 65 years of innovation and production in the electro-optics market. This Financial Analyst role is a team member of the RPM\\EOI Finance organization and partners with other functions to achieve EOI financial performance goals. The role involves working with cross functional teams and is responsible for the 5 Year Strategic Plan, the Annual Operating Plan, financial planning, Estimates at Completion (EACs), compliance and Forward Pricing Rates for approximately $60M in annual sales and more than 100 employees. The EOI site has their own rate set. EOI site support RMS, SAS, and IDS business units via IOTs. The unique portfolio provides the successful candidate an opportunity to operate in a very dynamic environment as they work with RMS and SAS Finance, RMS Accounting, and all other functional leadership. This position directly reports to the RPM/EOI Finance Manager. The responsibilities for this position will track, analyze, & report on different types of financial reporting requirements such as bookings, sales, direct material, direct labor, operating profit, indirect budgets, and overall rate performance. Other responsibilities include IOT sales projections & management, project set up, variance analysis, preparing EACs, and working with management establishing indirect budgets & base forecasts and other Finance duties required for the EOI site. Minimum Required Skills: * Minimum of 2+ years of relevant business/finance related experience and Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics Business Administration, or related field * Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), disclosure statements, and Sarbanes Oxley. * Ability to serve as a strong strategic business partner with the ability to transform tactical information into executable business plans. * Ability to analyze data and information to help ensure Operations labor and indirect cost performance track to plan * Ability to identify cost issues and develop corrective action plans * Possess strong problem solving skills with the ability to interpret, explain, and communicate information up and down the chain of command from business analysts to the VP level. * Proven ability to work in a highly matrixed organization * Have a good understanding of financial statements and ability to translate, present, and communicate complicated financial information into understandable and executable strategic plans. * Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
