Our team is looking for a Financial Analyst who will perform month-end reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Initially, the focus will be on assisting with the implementation of process improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency. This position will also provide financial, analytical, and operational support for Trade Finance.

What you'll do:

  • Trade Finance:

  • Perform the month-end close process, including the determination of accruals needed, analysis of allocations, and analysis of direct overhead expenses.

  • The successful candidate will help develop, communicate and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts and will conduct analysis to assist business partners in assessing the financial impact of business decisions

  • Distribute monthly/quarterly summaries of profitability vs budget, forecast, and last year. Identify key drivers of performance.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for the finance leadership team in preparation for the bi-annual board meetings.

  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes whenever possible.

  • Assist in KPI (key performance indicator) collection and reporting

  • Budgets & Forecasts:

  • Maintain projection models for Trade Finance.

  • Identify and implement forecast and budget process efficiencies.

  • Assist the trade finance team in developing and maintaining financial model and methodology for planning purposes.

  • Prepare adhoc financial analysis to support strategic decision making at the company.

What you'll bring:

  • Two+ years of experience in forecasting, financial analysis or related field.

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

  • Knowledge of automated financial reporting systems. SAP experience a plus.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting processes and profitability analysis.

  • Strong communications skills (written and oral).

Ideal Experience:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Excel VBA, and have strong communication skills.

  • Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and have knowledge of finance, accounting, forecasting, and reporting practices. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are required.

  • Experience in the Publishing Industry. SAP reporting tools (AO & EPM).

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

This role will have an annual salary of $60,000 - $70,000.
