The Financial Analyst role is responsible for the accurate completion of monthly, annual and long-term forecasting to ensure cost-effective operations within the guidelines set by LP Hydraulics. This role will complete analysis of current data and provide recommendations for improvements. It will assist in the completion of relevant Business Plans and audit the effectiveness of actual performance. This role will be responsible for ensuring the use of streamlined modelling in coherence with global standardization. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Controller and Business Analytics team to ensure proper and effective financial methodologies. This role will often be called upon to present relevant data & summaries to functional areas throughout the organization to help explain results, changes, and impacts on potential scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, analysis and reporting at a global level to drive local optimization, and to support globalreporting requirements.

  • Responsible for the collection of data and interpretation of product line P&L's under the direction of FP&A Management

  • Support local plants in cost save initiatives. Drive cost reduction and profit enhancement via analysis and related recommendations for the business.

  • Support both local plant and global FP&A with controlling, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.

  • Ensuring that financial data provided by others is validated and vetted prior to inclusion in planning. Leadership role in accounting processes for the branches on a global level.

Educational requirements, Certifications:

  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation (CMA, CPA) preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in working on a global level

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to work on global teams, proficient verbal and written communication

  • Solid understanding of FP&A and costing methodologies

  • Experience with budgeting/forecasting processes

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, familiarity with Microsoft D365 preferred

  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail and process

  • High integrity and ethical standards, and an ability to handle confidential information
