  • Unless specifically contracted, resumes from recruiting agencies are not being accepted for this position.The individual will assist in the preparation and maintenance of property and portfolio level pro-forma models that will be utilized for valuations, impairment analyses, mortgage financings, while adhering to tight deadlines.

The candidate will coordinate with the regional finance, leasing and property management teams for validation and assessment of certain business and financial metrics. In addition, the candidate will be the primary lead for the site level budget and forecast process, variance analysis, troubled debt cash flow analysis, capitalized cost analysis, true-up adjusting entries, among other ad-hoc projects. Basic understanding of debt and equity structuring preferred, as well as the ability to construct pro-forma models and IRR's.

A minimum of three years in Real Estate Financial Analysis and accounting is required, preferably in a company managing or owning shopping centers. The right candidate should have a broad knowledge of Excel and its advanced functions, be proficient in either Argus, or Hyperion Planning Application. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management or Accounting is required.

How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial: The Financial Analyst will build strong partnerships with business managers to develop, implement, and manage expenses that are aligned with the business strategy. Perform a variety of financial studies, analyze and report interrelationships of financial information. Reconcile expenses based upon Brighthouse Financial and management guidelines. Determine validity of data and provide supporting explanations. Perform a number of daily/weekly/monthly tasks. Work effectively and diligently to resolve issues. Work on ad-hoc projects as assigned. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain monthly Forecasts and annual budgets for TSA and Distribution departments * Manage monthly billing and governance process to adhere to contract specifications and financial parameters defined within Transition Services Agreement * Prepare financial reports by downloading information from single or multiple sources; compile databases and formulate spreadsheets; interpret trends, analyze results and explain to both Business and Finance Management. * Prepare month end close responsibilities; include but not limited to monthly journal entries, GL reconciliations, data input for budget and monthly forecasts. * Supports finance and operations management as a key internal consulting resource. * Exhibits and is recognized for financial expertise gained through a series of professional assignments and ongoing career development. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with our internal and external Business Partners. * Expand or modify existing processes to improve efficiencies. * Special projects and Ad-hoc analysis as needed. Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: * Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. * 1-3+ years' experience with Financial Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting & Analysis * Working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices. * Experience with general ledgers (SAP), AO reporting tool and Cost Allocation a plus. * Demonstrates financial and analytical skills and problem solving. * Intermediate skills using MS Excel including advanced functions such as pivot tables, lookup and index match. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Sensitive to deadlines and strive to deliver quality information in a timely manner while handling multiple priorities. * Strong business analytical abilities, attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to coordinate/converse with Senior Level Management. * Flexible, adaptable and ability to perform responsibilities in a demanding and fast paced environment. * Work effectively individually as well as part of the team dynamic.
