As an intern you will participate in our nationwide Internship & Co-Op Program, LEAP, where you will have the opportunity to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. In this position, you will be supporting the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Business at Aberdeen SD facility. This position will be fully on-site.

Relocation will not be offered; housing is not provided. The internship will be part-time for the 2024 spring semester, transitioning to full-time working 4 days a week 10 hour per day schedule over the summer.

As a Finance intern, you will:

• Support Operations Finance teams in everyday Finance processes.

• Report to the Operations Finance Manager and will work directly with various leaders and specialists across multiple locations.

• Develop professional skills in Finance in a manufacturing environment in the Defense Industry

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree Program pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; preferred at least junior level standing.

• Should have the ability to perform entry-level program finance analysis, basic concepts of accounting, and/or financial management.

• Solid computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

• Basic problem-solving acuity and basic experience with Microsoft Office tools with emphasis on Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include the ability to prepare professional business letters and memorandums.

• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under deadlines

• Sound professional judgment, business acumen, attention to detail, and ability to plan and organize.

• Ideally looking for local candidate for spring/fall work as available.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $34830 - $46980

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
