The Breakdown:

As the Financial Analyst III for the Anon business unit, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial planning and analysis activities for our Anon business unit. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Anon to provide comprehensive financial insights, reporting, and decision support. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing financial performance, and facilitating informed decision-making processes within the Anon business unit across channels and geographies. This role will provide finance support to internal business partners, providing thoughtful analysis and insight into business trends. Essential duties and responsibilities include financial reporting, financial planning, business performance insights, decision support, target setting and budgeting.

What You Get to Do:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Produce various analysis reports to support the Anon category business unit. Offer insights and recommendations based on the analysis to drive informed decisions.

  • Financial Plans: Work directly with the Director of FP&A on planning exercises such as budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans that align with strategic goals and financial targets. Collaborate with Anon category business unit leader to ensure alignment.

  • Decision Support Tools: Maintain tools and models that facilitate resource allocation and investment decisions, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.

  • Business Performance Insights: Deliver insights based on analysis of key Business Performance metrics.

  • Target Setting and Governance: Work with the Director of FP&A to recommend key financial targets for the Anon category business unit, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.

  • Performance Analysis: Create accountability by recommending actions to optimize the Anon category business unit through performance analysis and variance reports.

What You'll Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning or related roles, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and financial reporting systems; advanced Excel skills required.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.

  • A deep understanding of Business Performance KPIs and dashboard reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering and effectively communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity and changing priorities.

Core Capabilities That Would Help You Succeed in This Role:

  • Financial Modeling: Proficiency in building and maintaining complex financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, long range planning and decision-making processes.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Ability to lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including collaborating with business units, analyzing trends, and developing accurate financial projections.

  • Variance Analysis: Strong analytical skills to conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted/forecasted financial results, identify key drivers of variances, and provide insights to management.

  • Financial Reporting: Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports and analysis to Director of FP&A and other stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Cost Management: Knowledge of cost management principles and techniques to analyze costs, identify cost saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation across the organization.

  • Strategic Planning: Understanding of strategic planning processes and ability to provide financial insights and recommendations to support long-term strategic initiatives and business growth objectives.

  • Capital Budgeting and Investment Analysis: Familiarity with capital budgeting techniques, such as NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), and ROI (Return on Investment), to evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations for capital allocation.

  • Financial Systems and Tools: Experience with financial systems and tools, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, financial planning software, and data visualization tools, to enhance data accuracy and improve reporting capabilities.

Travel:

  • This position may require minimal travel.

Work/Physical Environment:

  • This is an office position. Extended periods of sitting/standing at a computer/workstation expected.

  • This position is considered an on-site role and is based in the Burton Burlington, Vermont office. We are committed to providing relocation assistance to VT for all successful candidates.
