Summary

As a Financial Analyst with CAE you will be part of a program team that is responsible for maintaining total project cost excellence in areas of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance on Estimates at Complete (EACs), Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecasting, cost reporting and variance analysis.

This position can be based in Dothan, AL; Tampa, FL; Arlington, TX or Colorado Springs, CO but could require occasional travel to any of the Training Centers within the Training Centers portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Candidate must demonstrate a desire to dig into the details and report data with attention to detail.

  • Accounting data mining, extraction, and reconciliation.

  • Development of time-phased, integrated budgets.

  • Monitor costs and manpower ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective.

  • Provide regular internal reports on cost and schedule performance to Program Leadership.

  • Customer CDRL Reporting.

  • Estimate at Completion development and maintenance.

  • Bookings, Sales, Profit, and Cash forecasting

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Desired candidate will have experience in the government contracting space.

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience

  • Strong background in project controls/program controls/business management including proficiency with, cost analysis, and forecasting in a services environment.

  • Complete understanding of concepts and techniques related to program controls. Concepts include but are not limited to forecasting, strategic planning, variance analysis, process improvement, etc.

  • Experience working with hard deadlines, specifically regarding close deadlines.

  • Good mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Exceptional Excel skills: Advanced excel formulas (pivot tables/formulas, sum if, vlookup, if statements, get pivot), tables, formatting, modeling.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with various functional organizations.

  • Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and reconciliations required.

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
