Main Objective:

The Financial Analyst II will be a liaison between the Arthrex Finance and Product Development Departments to provide financial reporting and analysis. This position will participate in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting in support of an Arthrex Product Family.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial planning and analysis activities for product team including revenue fluctuations and gross margin analysis.

  • Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances.

  • Partner in monthly accounting activities (i.e. assist accounting with accrual process, track invoices from major vendors, confirm project, department and account coding, etc.).

  • Participate in regular cross-departmental meetings to understand the current status of ongoing development projects.

  • Prepare monthly budget vs. actual reports and variance explanations for product team and department heads.

  • Research and resolve product team inquiries for assigned functional areas.

  • Analyze financial results for accuracy, determining variance drivers and writing performance commentary. Perform trend and sensitivity analyses to determine potential impacts to business results.

  • Monitor relevant KPIs/trends/events impacting the product team and incorporate this information into forecasts and analyses.

  • Liaise with operations and contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

  • Gather and organize financial data for the product team in preparation for regular leadership reviews.

  • Support Finance team with special projects / process improvement.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred

  • 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in financial planning and analysis and/or accounting required

  • Life science experience in multinational and relevant sector or public accounting experience with large, manufacturing clients preferred

Summary: The Senior / Financial Analyst is responsible for providing operation revenue management support and analysis for multiple teams in the ACI On Demand Division. In practice, operational responsibilities include providing detailed revenue tracking and reconciliation against budget, analyzing revenue trends across multiple segments, building forecast scenarios, and ad hoc analysis on Key Financial Metrics. The Senior / Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance and interact frequently with Leaders and internal business partners from across the company. This position will also drive activities for building the annual Operating Plan and monthly forecast. Critical for success in the role is the ability to achieve results while communicating effectively, organizing data, thinking independently, and working in a team environment. Responsibilities: * Conducts complex financial analyses on budgets, forecasts, operating results, and business plans. Analyzes operating results and identifies areas for improvement in profitability. * Operational engagement with the Customer Success Organization to maximize financial performance. * Prepares standard, periodic financial reports and analyzes business results. Creates supplemental reporting and performs analysis as requested. * Develops analytical framework for making financially based business decisions and recommendations. * Prepares forecasts and generates accurate and timely revenue projections. * Supports the ACI On Demand Leadership team during the Annual Planning Processes – Strategic & Operating. * Prepares annual budget and monthly forecasts, along with other monthly financial and operational reports for the AOD P&L. * Develops and case-specific financial models. * Prepares ad hoc reporting analysis for SVP of Finance and Senior Management. * Assists with educating the Operations Teams on the financial impact of their actions. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, other Business-related field or equivalent experience. * 5+ years related experience for Senior. 2+ years related experience for Financial Analyst. * Strong understanding of financial principles and methodologies. * Strong Excel skills, fluency with formulas and functions. * Self-starter with initiative and ability to drive projects to completion. * Proficiency with financial modeling and techniques. * Strong analytical and data gathering / mining skills. * Attention to detail and accuracy. Process planning & design.
