This role will lead monthly division close and provide financial statement review and analysis to the Construction division.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Lead monthly division close and provide financial statement review and analysis, including the reconciliation of division balance sheet accounts.
Maintain an accurate backlog of Construction Division projects and their related forecasts.
Provide in depth financial and job cost analysis.
Support companywide business intelligence efforts, develop Tableau reporting for Division Team Members to access, and utilize various data sources to drive improvements throughout the business.
Assist Business Manager in analyzing business processes, recommend and implement improved controls, processes and procedures.
Develop and provide documentation and training to Construction Division Team Members for new and existing business processes.
Maintain division job cost systems with accurate labor and equipment rates (HCSS Heavy Job and NiceTouch).
Lead the assembly of annual Division Profit Plan and oversee the annual year end audit.
Comply, understand, and promote Graniterock safety initiatives to ensure "Safety before All Else."
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent years of experience performing this level of work.
5 years' experience in a construction-related environment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of general accounting and economic principles.
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to management.
Detail oriented with ability to prepare clear and comprehensive oral and written reports and presentations.
Professional, highly motivated, team oriented individual that has the ability to handle multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on customer service
Advanced Excel, BI and ad hoc reporting skills.
