The Financial Analyst will support all financial functions within Financial Operations with an emphasis on staffing model management for Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain staffing models for Operations

  • Together with the business, review and analyze models on a quarterly basis

  • Manage data input from multiple sources/systems

  • Evaluate and facilitate any changes to the models

  • Assist with budget and forecast preparation

  • Assist with monthly close process and variance analysis of expenses with identification of financial risks and opportunities

  • Assist with monthly accruals

  • Analyze expense trends, including key drivers of financial results, to ensure efficient operations are in place

  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and assist with special projects to support key strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance and/or relevant experience

  • Knowledge and experience with financial analysis

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Excellent time management, planning and organization skills

  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, including the ability to extract appropriate data to convey financial results through the use of supporting tables, graphs, and other visual representations

  • 1-2 years of relevant employment

  • Process analysis and internal control experience is a plus

  • Integrity and commitment to quality

  • Proven ability to build relationships and work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel

Produces financial reports in one or more area of the bank. May analyze trends and make recommendations. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Conducts ad hoc financial analyses to aid senior management in the decision making process impacting both the short and long term financial stability of the company. * Participates in the development and formulation of analyses that forecast the cost effectiveness of new products and policy changes that affect the financial condition of the Bank. * Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance or other related areas of interest. Researches and analyzes rates of return, depreciation, investments and other financial indicators and provides findings to management. * Participates in performing specialized financial or planning functions such as reporting, budgeting and analysis. Prepares, maintains, analyzes and reports on organizational, business unit or departmental budgets as requested. * Conducts analyses and determines various input assumptions for financial forecasts, including loan and deposit portfolio analytics, non-interest income, and non-interest expense. * Works with business units to create financial models designed to continue the company's transformation to an assumption based budgeting/forecasting process. Supports the transition to an assumption based budgeting/forecasting model. * May cross train with others within Finance, as appropriate. * Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role.
