PPG is currently in search of a Financial Analyst I to join our Architectural Coatings USCA Business.

The Financial Analyst I is a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis group and provides support for our US and Canada Architectural businesses. The Analyst interacts with many members of the finance organization, including the SBU finance directors and their direct reports, as well as Senior Leadership of the Architectural USCA SBU and various individuals within the IT, Supply Chain, HR, Commercial and EH&S departments. The role will be based out of PPG's Architectural Corporate Headquarters in Cranberry Township.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and prepares the weekly update to Senior Leadership, including the latest estimate from the channel finance teams and comments from the commercial leaders

  • Oversee the daily sales report and interact with the Essbase team on any maintenance

  • Prepares monthly balance sheet, working capital and cash flow estimates for the SBU

  • Supports development of monthly Business Review Meeting packets

  • Analyses spending and submits monthly estimate for the USCA Admin and R&D activities

  • Coordinates the channel/function reporting within Finance on WD3

  • Analyses and prepares monthly cash flow and working capital reports for senior leadership

  • Manage the SBU CAPEX reporting

  • Leads the departmental budgeting process

  • Support LRP and BSR processes for AC USCA

  • Supports the closing/budget processes within the Essbase reporting tool

  • Performs special projects and analyses on the SBU as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 2 years finance, planning and analysis, or accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance is preferred

  • 3 or more years of finance, planning and analysis, or accounting experience

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are required

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to react quickly to change

  • Proven track record of exceptional time management and organizational skills

  • Strong oral & written communication skills.

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase Reporting/Hyperion Planning preferred by not mandatory

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred but not mandatory

  • Systems used include: Hyperion Essbase/SAP
