Position Summary:

Responsible for financial & operational aspects of accounting operations as it relates to the Inventory Control and Accounts Payable Departments, as well as being a liaison to all operational and corporate departments. In addition, position is responsible for updating and evaluating information presented in weekly and monthly reporting, business reporting analytics, database report creation, process improvement initiatives and maintenance. Develop, maintain and distribute financial reports. Prepare account analysis and variance reporting. Responsible for special projects and ad-hoc reporting. The Sr. Analyst will also assist in the preparation of client assistance deliverables for quarterly and annual financial statement audits, as well as in other special projects.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation and analysis of the weekly and monthly management reporting of financial results for assigned areas within the Accounting Operations Areas

  • Routine communication with all functional areas relating to financial and operational issues and deliverables

  • Demonstrate insightful use of financial data to provide practical advice to business partners and management in order to drive business results

  • Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them to daily functions

  • Prepare, maintain and develop various financial models and templates in excel and access database for use by finance team

  • Understand and facilitate the integration of business processes, technology and people in order to provide useful information to leadership team

  • Responsible for new special projects to improve efficiency and performance

  • Cross train in all accounting areas

  • Research and resolve inquiries from all functional areas and outside clients

  • Ensure SOX compliance for all processes and procedures

  • Assist in the preparation of client assistance deliverables from internal and external auditors

  • Ensure compliance with existing and develop/document new policies and procedures governing stock ledger maintenance and control. Partner with Corporate Finance to ensure that policies are in accordance with internal accounting practices and GAAP.

  • Develop and maintain partner relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders (IT, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, etc.)

  • Act as a liaison for new system implementation issues and concerns and provide solutions to help management make critical decisions

Education and Qualifications

Education:

Four year accounting/finance degree required, CPA, CFA, CMA, or MBA a plus.

Experience:
0-2 years related work experience. Retail experience a plus . Ability to effectively communicate with management, peers, and external parties, excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills needed. Proficiency in MS Office Suite helpful.

Position Summary The Senior Financial Analyst(Cashflow) is responsible for building, maintaining, updating, and modifying financial models. These models serve as the tool for management to make strategic business decisions, support financing and capital transactions and support YE audit valuations. The analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to model cost, revenue, and cash flow drivers and ensure calculations and outputs are accurate, using a complex excel model with advanced formulas and concepts. The position will work closely with both staff and senior management in all pyramids of the organization. The analyst will also be the primary department contact for business case analysis/validation and additional ad-hoc analysis/projects to support strategic decisions. This position is critical to the successful growth of the organization. Major Duties and Responsibilities * Build, modify, maintain, and update the excel cash flow model. Provide projections based on assumptions provided to support strategic and financial initiatives. Meet with key stakeholders to review business changes and incorporate revisions into the model. * Modify and maintain new business case excel model. Ensure model includes all P&L requirements. Review all business case financials to ensure accuracy and reasonableness and challenge assumptions as needed. * Prepare various ad hoc analyses for management. Four year accounting/finance degree required, MBA preferred. CPA Certification a plus. 4+ years experience working in a fast paced environment and demonstrated experience in financial modeling and analysis. Cashflow knowledge helpful.
