Organizational Background:

This Financial Analyst position supports a dynamic Real Estate team that manages a diverse portfolio of more than 280M square/feet. This cross-functional position not only has financial responsibilities but an operational focus that works with a diverse team including; GM Real Estate, Property Management, Hotel Management as well as other GM Business Units. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Real Estate Governance and Subsidiary Finance.

Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Financial support of Global Real Estate in the development and tracking of budgets, forecasts, operational banking requirements and business plans

  • Meet with stakeholders and perform forecast updates on a monthly basis

  • Act in an advisory capacity to leadership where budget and financial alternatives exists

  • Manage Special Projects, as required, and provide process improvement/cost reduction proposals as applicable

  • Use critical thinking skills and insight to anticipate business issues and resolve in a proactive and timely manner

  • Perform process improvement activities by improving forecasting methodology, developing insightful key metrics to use in monitoring the business, and developing robust documentation

  • Support Real Estate Portfolio reporting requirements and Information LifeCycle Management of Real Estate records

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Strong data analytical skills used to identify anomalies, trends and opportunities

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

  • Two or more years' experience in Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve business issues

  • Experience working in a collaborative / global environment

Professional Skill Requirements

  • Experience with SAP Finance & Accounting modules

  • Strong critical thinking skills

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and

problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including

management, clients and other stakeholders to drive individual and team projects to completion

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Join our team as a Financial Analyst today! Financial Analyst Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and/or one to three years Accounting background/work experience. Efficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Strong communication, customer service skills, ability to multi-task and work pro-actively are key. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Financial Edge a plus. Financial Analyst Responsibilities: * Process incoming payments, credit card, lockbox, internet and cash/checks, daily. Update summary deposit sheets daily. * Process new member sales payments and convert to active memberships in CRM system. * Post necessary journal entries into Financial Edge. * Export summary entries from the AR database into the general ledger. * Process Inter-Company transactions as needed. * Assist with setup and processing of event registration, sponsorship and refunds as necessary. * Manage advertising, sponsorship and all other outstanding invoices. * Run and provide preliminary membership billing report to member relations department for review. * Print and mail membership billings monthly. * Run membership cancellation report and provide to member relations department for review. Post membership cancellations upon approval by the member relations department. * Responsible for all other invoicing and internal follow-up on past due invoicing for all areas of the organization. * Perform all other special invoicing as requested. * Reconciling of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. * Reconcile daily batch transactions. * Reconcile monthly general ledger export file * Challenge processes and suggest improvements where applicable * Complete assigned reconciliations monthly, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and deferred/restricted revenue. * Assist with preparation for annual audit. Provide backup for selected transactions from auditors while on-site. * Assist groups and provide support for monthly reporting cycle, i.e. projections and revenue and expense activity reports. Be very familiar with all budget and projection numbers and activity for assigned groups. * Provide backup for general ledger accounts when requested by departments. * Assist IT with CRM product development and testing, specifically new web portal system, electronic invoicing and data clean-up projects as necessary. * Challenge and explore new and efficient processes in all areas of the Finance department * Represent the Finance group at select Chamber events as needed. The Financial Analyst will assist in the administration of the organization's financial operations. Primarily involved in the accounts receivable cycle. Salary Range is $45,000-$50,000 annual salary.
