SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst of Consumer Package Goods (CPG) plays a crucial role in providing financial analysis and reporting for a company engaged in the production and distribution of consumer-packaged goods
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Analyst will partner with GLT P&L owners to focus on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, utilizing financial data to make strategic recommendations that drive business growth and profitability.
Own ad hoc projects solving complex problems and exercise judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Collaborate and establish partnerships with Sales Operations and Demand Planning, to build refined revenue forecast processes
Help drive the monthly close process and provide executive-facing commentary on performance
Improve performance by evaluating business processes to drive efficiencies
Consolidate and analyze financial information and trends and communicate results and recommendations to management
Assist in creating dynamic board and operational reporting packages
Develop models, processes and reports to track key business metrics, analyze and interpret data
Play a key role in the preparation of strategic and long-range plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and prepare accurate budgets and forecasts.
Review budget proposals, evaluating feasibility, reasonableness, and compliance with corporate guidelines.
Monitor actual performance against budget/forecast and identify areas of variance, providing explanations and recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. An advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus.
3-5 Years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst in the Consumer Package Goods industry or related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and turn findings into actionable insights.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and proficiency in Excel.
Knowledge of financial reporting standards and experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP systems, reporting software, process improvement connection).
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee in this position primarily works in an office environment, but may infrequently pass through a manufacturing plant, where they would be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
