The Financial Analyst will be part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Department which is responsible for the overall budget and forecast for the entire company as well as various financial analysis to support the CEO/CFO, capital markets, treasury and business strategy initiatives. This position provides analysis to senior management with regard to various business units and entails working in a team environment with global business units. This is a challenging and versatile position that gives the right candidate the opportunity to gain exposure to a large number of financial and non-financial disciplines in the company. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to work with various departments and other personnel in the world wide offices. This position will be based in our San Francisco, CA office.

What's needed in order to do that:

  • Assist in preparing and analyzing various forecast and budget items across the entire company, including Strategic Capital, G&A and Operations

  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for departments and senior management as needed to review and improve business and financial performance

  • Assist in roll out of new Corporate Modeling and Planning Software Platform

  • Assist in roll out of Microsoft Power BI reporting Platform, AI Initiatives and other Data Analytics

  • Analyze and explain any variance or discrepancy between actual expenses against budgeted forecast

  • Assist to prepare CFO for quarterly analyst calls

  • Prepare internal and external reporting packages for investors and senior management on Prologis and comparable companies

  • Prepare statistical data and various schedules used in quarterly and annual SEC filings

  • Provide internal and external reports on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

  • Assist in business plans, board books and other presentations

  • Other duties as assigned

  • 0-3 years related work experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university

  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills

  • Advanced Excel and Database skills

  • Ability to quickly grasp business requirements and formulate into Excel, PowerPoint and database environments

  • Proficient using Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint

  • Good customer service skills; verbal and non-verbal communication

  • Ability to carry out specific oral and written instructions

  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

  • Execute responsibilities with a sense of urgency and follow-through

  • Positive, proactive work ethic and approach

  • Demonstrated abilities to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy

  • Show tact, discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation
