Our Corporate Headquarters in Evansville, Indiana is looking to add a Financial Analyst to the team! This role will produce timely and accurate payments to vendors as well as maintain organized and detailed records of transactions. In addition, the Financial Analyst will provide support to the Finance team as noted below.
Here's What You'll Do:
Assist with month end close responsibilities, including journal entries, reconciliations, analyses and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Prepare and post journal entries for all companies including preparing, accumulating, and analyzing various supporting documentation.
Assist with the reconciliations of various general ledger accounts each month and perform financial statement analysis to identify unusual variances in the accounts.
Prepare and file sales and use tax filings and ensure state compliance.
Assist with annual budget template preparation.
Maintain compliance with GAAP.
Maintain accounting controls and processes.
Assist with the year-end financial audit process with external auditors.
Assist in the documentation of processes and procedures of assigned accounting areas.
Contribute to the team effort by completing other related tasks as needed.
Ad-hoc reporting for selected balance sheet accounts
Perform special projects as required by Management.
Foster good employee/management relations.
Promote teamwork by fostering partnerships with key departments.

Here's What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or comparable business field along with 1-3 years of combined public and/or private accounting experience
ERP systems experience is beneficial
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong knowledge of personal computers including Microsoft Office software
Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division as well as an understanding of fractions and percentages
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions
Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set Company standards
