The Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects up to and including financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investments. The Financial Analyst may provide analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects including mergers and acquisitions. Prepares forecasts and analysis of trends in sales, finance, general business conditions in the Fintech industry. Responsible for the reconciliation of internal accounts. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.
Essential Functions:
Assists in financial planning and modeling.
Assists in financial analysis projects and statistical studies related to the Fintech industry through analysis of financial data and industry trends.
Assists in providing key financial analysis and management reporting by producing various reports. Provides guidance and support to various departments by communicating and educating on complex financial information effectively.
Collaborates with accounting and finance members in collecting financial data from internal departments and external sources.
Assists as needed on special projects including SOC, M&A due diligence, process optimization, and ad-hoc analysis. Shares analysis and gives input on investment and project decisions.
Assists in preparation of presentations for executive leadership.
Researches and stays abreast of industry trends, market conditions and regulatory changes that impact the organization.
Identifies opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancements, process improvements and shares with management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of successful experience in an equivalent financial role, preferably in a relevant industry.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex financial data
Effective communication and collaboration
Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills
Attention to detail and self-directed time-management skills
Experience and knowledge of SQL/other databases and financial software applications/tools.
