Position Overview

As a Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Insights Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating, compiling, analyzing and communicating forward looking projections for all C&S entities, specifically budgets, quarterly forecasts, annual & adhoc long range forecasting capital budgeting/forecasting. The team also has responsibility for customer profitability analysis, both recurring and adhoc, preparation of analysis detailing the business case for key strategic initiatives, as well as assisting in analysis, presentation and communication of overall company results to senior leadership. Prepare recurring customer profitability analysis, and perform "deep dive" customer analysis in order to identify opportunities to senior leadership.


  • Run spreadsheet based models to calculate quarterly customer profitability in line with identified deadline and validate integrity of calculations

  • Assist operations accounting in completion of weekly reporting customer profitability (less detailed than quarterly analysis)

  • Make manual adjustments to correct automated results based on historical approach, latest business information, financial and organizational knowledge

  • Compile relevant analyses; trend analysis, comparisons to other customers, comparisons to budget as necessary. Analyze variances and identify opportunities

  • Review analysis with FP&A Manager and Director & participate in presentation of results to CFO/senior leadership

  • Assist in the compilation of more detailed customer specific analysis as requested by senior management; so called "customer deep-dives" , involving :

  • Cross functional discussions to gather ideas and inputs,

  • Identification and assessment of opportunities,

  • Creation of analysis supporting actionable recommendations

  • Carry out ongoing assessment a) of the accuracy of spreadsheet calculations, b) correct basis for automatic allocations, c) correct basis for manual adjustments, d) process followed to compile and analyze results

  • Incorporate any required changes in spreadsheet model

  • Test and evaluate alternate models/systems to replace current spreadsheet based model and make recommendations to FP&A manager


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field required

  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience including understanding key accounting principles

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems and software (e.g. GL package, Financial reporting system) preferred

Purpose/Responsibilities: This position is responsible for creating a detailed master production schedule for Keene plant operations using SAP to meet customer demand requirements while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing capacity utilization and productivity. The majority of the work performed for this position will be done inside of the SAP planning time-fence. This position is also expected to continually improve the production planning and scheduling process and function. * Utilizes the SAP system to releases production orders, addresses MPS exception messages, reviews and maintains master data as appropriate to ensure system accuracy. * Converts firm, planned orders to production orders to meet the master schedule taking into account FAIRs, or DT requirements. * Aligns the master production schedule with known levels of capacity. Makes recommendations on changes to work center availability, utilization and rates. * Reviews assembly summaries and will take appropriate actions to re-plan shortages and disposition excess materials. * TECO of production orders and troubleshooting confirmation issues between SAP. * Participates in the monthly supply meeting, SI&OP process, weekly schedule attainment process. Analyzes demand for NAR improvements with emphasis on DPAS-rated orders. * Adhoc analysis of demand and inventory as it relates to the MPS and schedule attainment. * This will require knowledge of SAP, Excel or other analytical platforms required to complete the task. * All other duties as assigned.
