About this Opportunity

As a Financial Analyst, you'll conduct activities in support of large projects/functions or major business units. Your typical assignments provide exposure to more complex financial concepts, issues, and activities. You'll also participate in the preparation of highly detailed and complex analyses and research for financial forecasts and projections.

  • Conduct activities in accordance with GAAP and established Herman Miller guidelines.

  • Conduct financial analysis through the application of advanced and/or specialized accounting/finance principles, concepts, theories, and techniques.

  • Contact and network with both internal and external sources to collect, validate, and interpret more complex data, and lead the communication of more detailed technical information.

  • Continuously increase your personal knowledge of the organization and personal business acumen through ongoing learning activities.

  • Develop work strategies to achieve desired results and conduct activities with limited supervision. You will also confer with leadership on unusual issues and situations.

  • Function as a Financial Analyst and key business partner with an assigned client group(s)/segment of the organization.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Work independently on complex problems and projects that are broad in nature and require a thorough understanding of accounting/finance fundamentals.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Four to seven years of professional financial experience.

  • A thorough knowledge and expertise in the financial area of specialty.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A demonstrated ability to identify, define, and resolve problems, projects, and programs.

  • A proven ability to accomplish desired objectives and outcomes by influencing individuals at all levels.

About this Opportunity As a Supply Management Associate Analyst, you'll support the entire Supply Management organization by providing data analysis and actionable performance management reports. You will handle general and confidential information while conducting activities that include providing or coordinating clerical and/or analytical support for normal business operations. You'll work on special projects and activities of moderate complexity. In conducting your activities, you will interact with cross-functional internal and external contacts to effectively deal with daily and project-related objectives. What You'll Do You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as you... * Analyze data to ensure the effectiveness of ongoing projects and processes by establishing the most appropriate methodology for tracking, analyzing, and gathering data, proficiently using available technology such as spreadsheet and report writing software. * Create and distribute reports related to Procure-to-Pay (P2P), spend, quality, PPMs, and diversity metrics as requested/required. * Effectively and professionally interact with a variety of people (both internal and external) at multiple levels of the organization by demonstrating strong initiative and ownership to ensure results. * Handle multiple project and administrative tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, using a problem-solving approach to understand key issues, analyze data, and recommend options for solutions. * Bring forward ideas about ways to do things better, anticipate potential problem needs, and take appropriate action. * Manage and monitor the Additional Cost Order (ACO) process to ensure the timely processing of orders. * Manage the reconciliation process of open Maximo/LN POs through proactive interaction with key business partners and Accounts Payable personnel. * Manage the tooling purchase order process (purchase order issuance, payment tracking, and obsolescence). * Manage, monitor, and audit the Returnable Packaging Program to ensure the financial integrity of the process. * Perform team back-up support and additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives. * Provide administrative and project support for members of the extended team, including MySIGN meeting scheduling and facilitation and ordering supplies. * Provide daily inquiry response and problem resolution in support for the entire Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process (e.g., supplier set up, requisition, purchase order, receipt, pricing maintenance, invoice fallout reconciliation, etc.) as required to achieve business objectives.
