At EVPassport we are on a mission to help drive the adoption of electric vehicles through our technology infrastructure. Our FP&A team is growing to provide mission-critical financial analysis to our dynamic organization as they evaluate business initiatives with executive-level visibility. The Financial Analyst works under the direction of the VP, Financial Operations and drives financial analysis, forecasting, reporting and operational support activities for the entire FP&A function. This position will exercise a high level of accountability, flexibility, teamwork, good judgment and attention to detail. The Financial Analyst must be able to work independently, as well as within a team environment.


  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Track and monitor expenses incurred related to various business functions
  • Produce monthly and quarterly variance analysis and commentary to management
  • Forge strong business partner relationships to drive financial results and understanding across cross-functional teams
  • Perform financial and operational analysis to enhance business objectives
  • Provide business process improvement and documentation to boost operational efficiency and reinforce financial compliance
  • Bring creativity and critical thinking, which inspires innovation and propels team beyond the status quo
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written
  • Proven collaborator with the ability to work with all levels and departments within an organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
  • Self-directed work style; thrives at being resourceful and has a strong work ethic
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bachelors degree with a preference to a Finance or Accounting or Economics
  • 3+ years of financial analysis or related experience required.
  • Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Prior experience with headcount planning or administration at either a business unit or company level would also be a plus. Experience business partnering and interacting with upper level management
  • Background orchestrating cross-functional projects with high energy, trustworthy, creative, and get it done mentality.
  • Displays good judgment and uses discretion when presented with sensitive or confidential issues.
  • Experience allocating and optimizing marketing spend across tactics.
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Slack, Excel, NetSuite, G-Suite
  • Thrives in a high growth environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

For more information, please visit</p><p>JOB SUMMARY</p><p>The Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of the Finance team and will be working with cross functional business partners across the organization. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, this position will be responsible for processing financial operations and payments. This is a great opportunity to focus on learning how to manage the financial workspace and gain foreign exchange experience to support MGA Entertainment's exciting global expansion.</p><p>ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul><li><p>Monitor previous day banking reports, maintain cash balances, initiate all bank wire and ACH transactions, and compile the necessary control and audit-trail documentation, while ensuring policy compliance.</p></li><li><p>Perform the full cash management cycle, including daily cash positioning to analyze available cash balances and initiate pooling transfers as appropriate, run daily and monthly reconciliations, business continuity planning and record retention.</p></li><li><p>Drive process improvements and help develop a consistent approach to reporting results within the organization, utilization of analysis and reporting focused on increasing the effectiveness, efficiency and overall value created by vendor and supplier relationships.</p></li><li><p>Responsible to be in the primary liaison between Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other departments in the Organization. Respond to matters with regard to company's cash (Wire, ACH, Check) or bank related inquiries and provide all necessary banking reports.</p></li><li><p>Execute on special initiatives and projects as assigned. (Assist with FBAR reporting).</p></li><li><p>Handle bank account management including opening, maintaining and closing bank accounts, monitoring bank fees and assist with the KYC process.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate audit requests for the Treasury Department.</p></li><li><p>Manage information in the Treasury workstation (counterparty ratings, bank wire and ACH instructions, money market daily Factors, etc.) as appropriate.</p></li></ul><p>FINANCIAL ANALYST SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li><p>BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field</p></li><li><p>Internship experience or one year professional experience in treasury, finance, accounting or a related area (Global environment), preferred.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in Excel (LOOKUP Functions, Pivot Tables, etc.), Word</p></li><li><p>Proficient with a mid-tier or large ERP system, preferred.</p></li><li><p>Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.</p></li><li><p>Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills</p></li><li><p>Great work ethic and ability to work with a team.</p></li><li><p>Self-starter and can adapt quickly.</p></li></ul> MGA Entertainment Los Angeles CA
