This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing.As a Financial Analyst, you will:
Resolve audit and review findings related to the financial management of PHAs and coordinate the written communication to the PHAs in collaboration with other Field Office staff regarding findings not related to financial management.
Understand pertinent laws, legislative history, regulations, contracts, compliance requirement documents (OMB Circulars, GAAP requirements, etc.) and management controls necessary to ascertain the purpose, scope, and objectives of the organization.
Issue reports, including findings and corrective action recommendations to management. The incumbent is considered an independent technical authority on financial management and funding issues related to PHAs, and is expected to independently provide mastery-level advisory assistance and exercise judgment in developing solutions to complex problems whether on an individual basis or as a member of a team.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
