Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning & forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies.

As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical skills. Ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets of high complexity. 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. CPA/MBA desired.

Department Description

Customer Support Services Group (CSS) is one of Oracle's fastest growing Businesses, providing Customer Support across platforms and products to Oracle's customers worldwide. Support Finance, FP&A provides Business Partnering, Management reporting and Analysis to enable decision making and meet Business goals. The department participates and leads in various Global Business Finance initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and streamlining processes.


  • Weekly forecast: Analyze, Prepare, and Present Support Revenue forecast that includes KPIs, Bookings, and Revenue. Work closely with the regional finance and operations.

  • Planning and budgeting: participate in annual planning and budgeting cycle in line with corporate and business requirements.

  • Management reporting:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive management reporting, and provide analytical insight

  • Prepare and participate in quarterly Business Operations Reviews

  • Preparation of Reporting packs for executive management

  • Ensuring data quality and accuracy of management reporting

  • Acquisition: Work closely with business groups to provide accurate, timely, reporting

  • Participate in various Global Business Finance change initiatives to drive improvements in efficiency effectiveness of financial reporting

  • Participate in Quarter end activities and contribute in close process

  • Proactively drive analysis on key trends and drivers behind the trends we are seeing in the results. This requires tight partnership with region and operations peers.

  • Act as lead resource to provide mentoring and support to junior analysts within the team.

  • Take lead role on key projects/programs that drive the business forward.

Personal Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree with 4 years finance experience. MBA Preferred

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize objectives in a dynamic, challenging environment

  • Excellent financial & analytical skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase Planning and Analysis tool
