Primary Job Responsibilities:
General
Develop close working relationships with Fleet leadership, BU operating leaders and Corporate Shared Services
Assist in forecasting reasonableness of estimated revenues, estimated costs, damages, etc.
Oversee the monthly close process for assigned business units
Research deviations from forecasted results to root cause
Special projects
Annual
Internal audit support
Lead standalone audit/review/compilation activities
Assist in preparation of annual business plan
Assist in preparing long range forecasts for strategic planning
Quarterly
Assist quarterly reviews with fleet & business unit audience
Assist in preparing quarterly forecasts
Monthly
Review financial statements, analyze, investigate and correct coding, omissions, etc.
Guide various journal entries for assigned P/L's
Coordinate with operations re any material variances from plan/forecast, ensuring mutual understanding of root cause and solution
Weekly
Ad hoc projects, cost savings/data integrity initiatives
Facilitate and assist correcting any issues with AP, PR, AR, EQ, Billing, etc.
As Needed:
Education and Experience Requirements:
Proven abilities and skills in the following: planning, organization, teaching and coaching
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in finance and accounting
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required.
Considerable understanding of Excel
Knowledge and experience working with ERP Systems, such as Vista/Viewpoint, a plus.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Able to interact with all levels of management.
