The mission of Federal Reserve Cash Services (FedCash Services) is to supply currency and coin to meet both domestic and international demand, maintain the quality and integrity of currency and coin in circulation, and ensure Depository Institutions (Dis) have ready access to Cash Services. Our primary goal in meeting our mission is to maintain confidence in U.S. currency through well-controlled operations with sufficient capacity to meet the needs of the marketplace on a daily basis and in times of stress. Although both financial and operational efficiency are important goals for Cash Services, they remain secondary to maintaining confidence. The CPO partners with the twelve Reserve Banks to accomplish the Fed's mission by providing leadership, coordination, and support in several key areas, including financial management.

As a Financial Analyst in the Cash Product Office, you will have a key role in support of the Office's mission, goals, and strategic objectives. This is your opportunity to combine your passion in leadership and collaboration along with business acumen. You will lead efforts related to financial planning, analysis, and control as well as operational metrics management for the FedCash Services business, which encompasses 28 Cash Offices throughout the twelve Federal Reserve Banks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytical activities related to financial planning for FedCash Services, including establishing annual System and District-level budget guidance targets as well as long-term financial projections;
  • Provide supporting analysis and materials for executive management briefings in advance of key governance groups review of FedCash Services annual budget and multi-year forecasts;
  • Collaborate with Cash colleagues to establish FedCash performance metric targets, evaluate target adjustment proposals, and monitor performance through monthly metrics reporting;
  • Maintain effective monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance reporting and communication that enables improved financial management;
  • Develop analysis tools to support the business lines effort to effectively manage the appropriateness and distribution of support costs;
  • May also support ad hoc projects as assigned by CPO management and actively participate in Office initiatives.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency with financial modeling tools particularly Microsoft Excel;

  • Strong collaboration skills and commitment to the OneBank vision, with an interest in ensuring strong relationships and an ability to partner effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals;

  • Strong critical thinking, including analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate complex issues;

  • Demonstrate strong influence skills, including excellent written, speaking, and presentation skills, and the ability to talk to and reach a range of people and audiences across and outside of the business function;

  • Strong organizational skills to manage competing and dynamic priorities, and multiple concurrent activities;

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously amongst changing priorities and deadlines; experience in facilitating project meetings with key business partners, and develop action items and meeting summaries;

  • Business acumen with a proven ability to evaluate the costs, risks and benefits associated with alternative actions before making decisions; and

  • Highest levels of personal and professional integrity at all times.


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or hold a permanent resident/green card with intent to become a U.S. Citizen

  • 3 years progressive experience in financial management within complex, dynamic environment

  • Bachelor's degree, accounting or finance concentrations preferred

  • Experience with Tableau and/or other business intelligence software preferred

  • 5-10% travel is required for this position
