JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst helps our organization to make informed financial decisions by analyzing financial data, trends and performance metrics. This analyst will have the responsibility of extracting financial data and reviewing for accuracy and to provide reporting information to the appropriate parties. This position has various responsibilities within Financial Reporting and Analysis. This includes, but are not limited to: reviewing, analyzing and preparing financial management reports, analyzing and tracking departmental expenses and trends and using this knowledge to direct operation departments in areas they can improve and create more value to their departments.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Learn the function, roles and responsibilites of all business functions to be able to provide the correct insight into trends and analysis.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and provide insights into financial performance.
Budgeting and forecasting: assist in the development of the annual budget process and forecasting by gathering relevant data, conducting analysis and providing insights to support strategic planning and decision making
FP&A: provide support for financial planning and analysis activities, including trend analysis, scenario planning, and performance tracking. Assist in the development of strategic plans and initiatives based on financial insights.
Stakeholder Communication: present financial analysis, reports and recommendations to internal stakeholders such as senior management, department heads and other key internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and internal policies. Stay up to date on changes in financial reporting requirements and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Improve and enhance current reporting standards.
Develop financial models to support business initiatives, investment decisions, and strategic planning. Evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects and initiatives, and provide recommendations based on thorough analysis.
Conduct cost analysis to determine profitability of projects or business units. This may involve analyzing costs, overhead expenses and identifying opportunities for cost reduction or efficiency improvement
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and research to support special projects, investments evaluations or strategic initiatives as needed.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED
Four-year degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or comparable educational background
2+ years of aligned experience in a financial analyst position
Experience with PowerBI, Microsoft Office suite platform, CRM and ERP platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends
Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
Strong business acumen.
Must exhibit detail orientation and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is regularly required to work in a fast-paced office environment with frequent customer (internal and external) interface, with occasional exposure to shop environments and the hazards therein. This position must be able to deal with strict deadlines with frequently changing priorities and a high volume of information flow while always remaining professional. This position is exposed to sensitive and confidential information. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Noise levels vary but are usually in the low to moderate range.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a sedentary work position, requiring the ability to remain in a stationary position, for prolonged periods; perform repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers to operate a computer, write, and handle materials; communicate with customers, both internal and external, by telephone using good articulation and voice control. The ability to occasionally move throughout the office to accomplish tasks. The ability to frequently move objects up to 10 pounds; and occasionally move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to focus.
