Financial Analyst - Capital Planning & Analysis
Reports to: Senior Manager Capital Planning & Analysis Last Update: June 3, 2024
Overview:
Provides financial and analytical support for a fleet of natural gas compression equipment including asset management/strategy and pricing support. Additionally, supports the management of capital spending oversight, policies, compliance, and reporting.
Essential Duties
Collaborates with sales and asset management teams to develop and provide monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis for senior management, executive team, and board.
Utilize a data visualization tool (Power BI) to create and maintain reports to aid in strategic asset decisions and analysis.
Reviews and facilitates the approval and closure process for fleet capital projects totaling ≈$100 million annually. Ensures compliance with the approved business plan, policies and reporting requirements.
Develops economic financial models using DCF/NPV/IRR/ROIC analyses to support external pricing decisions and compression asset capital allocation.
Compiles, analyzes, and summarizes sales data used to align asset pricing to market demand/bookings/utilization. Focus of analysis is to maximize profitability and support price change recommendations.
Special projects and ad hoc analysis as required providing quantitative analysis, reports, and modeling.

Minimum Education and Certification:
Minimum Experience:
Typically have 0-5 years professional experience in a similar role
Experience with Data Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc…) is a plus
Experience with relationship databases and (SQL) is a plus
Experience with Excel Programming (VBA) is a plus
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry (operations experience and/or mechanical/technical knowledge of natural gas compressors) is a plus
