Job Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for the proper recording of a school's revenues and expenditures. They must work closely with the Accounts Payable and Payroll departments for timely and accurate reporting.

Annual and quarterly reports, both mandated and internal, are created by the financial analyst for review and approval of management. They help ensure the proper use of funds between restricted and unrestricted sources and also to track and manage expenditures as they relate to their school's Local Control & Accountability Plan.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting principles. • Prior experience with government accounting and SACS • Ability to explain or describe a topic, issue or problem to your audience effectively and concisely. • Moderate to advanced experience in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel), financial systems, ERP software or other enterprise systems • Understand and carry out oral and written directions. • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. • Work effectively and collaboratively with groups that are both within and outside of your functional area. • Hold a degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting or related field. • Possession of a valid California driver's license and reliable transportation. • TB Clearance and Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Its instructional design is based on a "University Model." SELECTION PROCEDURE: Selected applicants will be interviewed by a panel consisted of the finance management team. Selected candidates will complete a work-styles/behavioral survey.

Candidates who successfully complete this phase of process will be interviewed by the Deputy Superintendent School Services and the Superintendent School Services and Founder at a later date. Complete online application. Resume will not be accepted in lieu of application.
