Financial Analyst

BWXT is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for its Erwin, TN location Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Completes activities for the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close that includes journal entries, financial statement reviews, ensuring compliance with accounting principles; and preparing month-end reports including analysis of major cost drivers.

Supports finance team in preparing annual business plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly closing and current view projections. Performs balance sheet reconciliations, and supports ad-hoc requests such as cash flow, budgeting, accounting reserves, and audit support. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with at least 3 years of professional experience. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

Able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
