SUMMARY

The Decision Support Analyst - Staff, as a member of the Finance department at Rochester Regional Health will provide financial support, analysis, and actionable consultative advice relative to Rochester Regional financial results, operations, and reporting with the goal of improving overall financial performance and business processes.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Riedman Campus

DEPARTMENT: Finance

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday

ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business/Health Administration, Statistics or related field

  • At least 1 3 years of prior relevant experience including experience collecting and analyzing data

  • Exceptional organizational skills; using systematic methods to perform work and creativity to recommend or create new work methods or procedures.

  • High level of computer and software competency; proficient with database administration and infrastructure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Analytical, proactive problem solving skills; techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

  • Proven written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment are also essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with performing ad hoc decision support requests.

  • Obtains a thorough understanding of the cost accounting process and overall model

  • Assists with identifying trends within various operational reporting to better inform decision making

  • Perform data reconciliations to the monthly financial statements

  • Assist with compiling statistical data for various financial reporting

  • Assist with design and production of financial reports that meet the decision making needs of leadership

The incumbent supports and executes management decision making, monitor business performance and assess opportunities. This position also assists preparing and handling of detailed project plans and calendar for the finance management process ensuring that deadlines and deliverables are met and meeting are scheduled timely. The position is responsible for the coordination of finance's short- and long-term strategic plans, goals and road maps, including the creation of summary presentations as needed. Additionally, the incumbent coordinates and consolidates finance scores cards and goal updates.
