Under immediate supervision, assists and provide support in performing financial analysis and reporting to major NAVSEA shipbuilding programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists Earned Value Management Team with collecting and analyzing financial data for several Major Navy acquisition programs using Earned Value Management Systems.
Reviews, classifies, examines and analyzes data and records of financial transactions.
Maintains and updates financial databases and spreadsheets.
Generates financial presentations.
Maintains appropriate records and documentation.
Identifies and resolves problems as well as to prevent future problems.
Researches and provides answers to financial ad hoc questions.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus 0 to 2 years of directly related experience preferably in a government contracting environment. Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business is preferred.
Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of financial and forecasting concepts.
Advance experience with Microsoft Excel; specifically coding in VBA and Macros.
Knowledge of Microsoft Power Point.
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems a plus.
Programming experience a plus.
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills.
