We design, sell and distribute luxury home décor to interior designers as well as boutique/luxury retailers globally. The AHD family of wholesale brands includes Made Goods (flagship furniture made from unique materials); Pigeon & Poodle (home and bath accessories); Blue Pheasant (handcrafted tabletop products) and Thucassi (artisanal candles and fragrances). About the Role The Financial Analyst will assist in the execution of the budgeting process alongside the Associate Director of Financial Planning and Systems. This person will utilize corporate finance techniques to assess value of investments or spending projects, conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting for AHD, and partner with the senior leadership team and cost center managers.

The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, strong analytical skillset, and a desire to learn the business. What you can do for us: · Responsible for assisting with planning, reporting and analysis – Budget, Reforecast, Monthly Financial Review · Understand and identify business drivers for variances including volume, rate/price and mix · Partner with cross-functional leaders to provide financial support for business case related to new product development, capex spending, cost savings, etc. utilizing corporate finance techniques such as DCF, NPV, Breakeven, Payback, and Sensitivity analysis · Analyze data, derive insights and provide recommendations to maximize return on investment · Coordinate with other members of the finance team and cross functional leaders to review financial information, challenge assumptions and build budgets/forecasts · Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement · Assist in building a full set of financial statements (PL, BS, CF) for forecasting and budgeting What we can do for you: · Play a pivotal role in our company’s transformation and growth · Maintain work/life balance working for wholesale distribution business · Training and career development opportunities · 3 weeks paid time off and 6 paid holidays per year · Relaxed and collaborative work environment · Up to 6% 401k employer contributions · Team building company sponsored events · Employee discount and bi-annual sample sale Requirements: · Required Bachelor’s degree – Finance or Accounting · 1-5 years of experience as a financial analyst, cost analyst, or operations support · Knowledge of PowerPoint and experience in ERP systems, Sage X3 preferred, Oracle, and EPM/HFM reporting platforms · Must possess strong Excel skills, including the ability to build detailed models and use pivot tables · Ability to articulate clearly, professional oral and written communication skills · Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information · Must be proficient in general computer programs such as Microsoft Office · Ability to think creatively and work with management to identify new opportunities to improve business processes or functions · Exceptional analytical, modeling, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills · Possesses strategic thinking and presentation skills Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. · Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting. · Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions. · Required to use stairwells to attend meetings and engage with employees on multiple floors throughout building. Compensation Starting annual salary: $80,000-90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
