Financial Analyst

Summary

AMG Vanadium LLC (AMG V) is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team at our Cambridge, Ohio facility. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting the Companys financial data, which will inform and advise business strategy.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including AMGs Code of Business Conduct

• Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with AMGs values

• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process

• Perform complex purchase price variance and revenue recognition calculations for month-end close

• Assist in preparation of month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and other reporting

• Develop expertise and support month-end results submission process for corporate; take lead as needed

• Conduct monthly actual versus budget analysis

• Ensure integrity of financial data through normal condition and exception analysis

• Prepare reports and projections based on financial data

• Develop strong understanding of the business and manufacturing processes to correlate production and financial data with financial performance

• Provide analysis and financial support for business leaders that aligns with company objectives

• Develop, produce, and track key performance metrics and other financial data that inform business decisions

• Create financial models to inform and guide business opportunities and organizational decision making; provide support to business leaders as required

• Continuously evaluate related processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

• Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization; make recommendations to management to improve product and process profitability

• Support the Controller with various projects and assignments as needed

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting; CPA or CMA a plus

• Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; metals and/or heavy manufacturing experience a strong plus

• Demonstrated knowledge or previous experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling

• Proficiency with Oracle or similar accounting/ERP system

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills

• Good follow through skills, as well as heightened attention to detail

• Ability to adapt well to change

• Ability to work flexible schedule at critical financial reporting times
