All you need is...

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics/Accounting

  • 2-5 years' experience as financial analyst

  • Experience in budget control, analysis and models

  • Ability to multi task and meet deadlines

  • Advanced Office skills

  • Experience in SAP - advantage

Candidate must demonstrate the ability to interpret and comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); possess excellent leadership skills; enjoy communicating with a diverse range of contacts; demonstrate ability to interpret technical accounting guidance and contract terms; experience effectively planning and leading major financial reporting projects; proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel; governmental accounting experience and CPA or other relevant certifications preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. Duties Serve as a key technical resource for financial reporting for leases. Maintain the County and Schools lease database in Microsoft Access and compile all journal entries and note disclosures relating to leases. Support staff in the application of policies, procedures, and GAAP relating to capital assets transactions and serve as a back-up for capital asset processes. Participate in the review and compilation of transactions related to the County and Schools capital improvements program. Review and provide comments on assigned audit tasks, note disclosures, statements, schedules and/or statistical tables. Perform other duties as assigned.
