We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing team! This position is a highly visible role within the organization that offers significant responsibility, confidentiality, and exposure to senior leadership and all aspects of the business.

A Day in the Life:

  • Compile data and developing models that help drive corporate decision making among the executive leadership team

  • Translate accounting data, non-financial metrics, and analysis that tells a compelling, fact-based story

  • Prepare regular expense forecasts; develop variance analyses for actual vs forecast and report explanations

  • Provide research and analytical support in the preparation of budget, strategic plans, and forecasting

  • Assist in preparation of management dashboard, board materials, scheduled and ad-hoc reporting, financial statements, and other key company communications

  • Solving complex problems with the ability to exercise mature judgment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience as a confident financial analyst, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable solutions

  • Can produce quality deliverables for senior management

  • Can work collaboratively with a variety of practice area leads

  • Is very well-organized, self-motivated, intellectually curious, displays strong attention to detail, and has a desire to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Is results-driven and detail-oriented with a high degree of attention to detail

  • Has a Bachelor's degree within Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Economics; MBA or CPA required

  • Has a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an investment bank, PE firm, PE-owned portfolio company, or top tier consulting firm and a minimum of three (3) years total relevant work experience

  • Has a strong/expert level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP, and financial consolidation tools

The Financial Analyst (FA) is responsible for providing financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and analysis for a group of business units within the US Environment Division. The FA works with the BC and Business Leaders to review month end income statements and is responsible for assisting with certain AR functions, review of accruals and prepaids, and review of cash flow. Forecasts are completed and reviewed with Business Leaders. Ad Hoc scenarios and modeling are completed as required. Capex request forms are completed and reviewed with the business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Provides business units with financial reporting, KPIs and metrics * Works with business units to complete projections (budgets, forecasts and mid term plans) * Complete capex review and forms; reviews investment opportunities and metrics * Reviews month end prelim P&Ls for correctness and works with NSC to make any needed adjustment * Prepares and reviews certain accruals * Oversight in annual inventory and fixed asset physicals for relevant BUs * Serves as financial advisor to business units with business/cost results of financial decisions. * Reviews cost data and makes recommendations on potential actions to improve cost control * Prepares and analyzes annual budgets based on past performance and future expectations. * Participates in accounts receivable collections to achieve goals. * Prepares and reviews capital spending requests to ensure capital is being spent effectively and capital is being properly controlled. * Responds to requests of management, laboratories, accounting, and clients for financial information. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
