Position Overview

This position (Financial Analyst 4) will be responsible for financial analyses, reporting and forecasting of financial statements and preparation of related commentaries / presentations on a monthly basis for the Diagnostics (DX) business of Siemens Healthineers.

Responsibilities also include end to end management of the Annual Budget process and the Enterprise Risk management (ERM) process. The position involves a high level of engagement with the VP of DX BPC and DX CFO and is based in Tarrytown, NY

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the DX monthly Close process including analysis and reporting of actuals (U+4 to U+13), ARE analysis of key KPIs, variance analysis, monthly FC call package and commentary for CFO

  • Develop monthly DX Forecast - analysis of BL bottom up to derive DX forecast; responsible for determination and management of the DX central adjust

  • Responsible for the FX tool for overall DX and any ad hoc analysis required on the FX topic

  • Owner of DX Budget Process - responsible for ensuring end to end coordination between all stakeholders

  • Responsible for all communication sent to IR incl. follow up questions post quarterly Earnings calls

  • Other deliverables to AC PC (Cash+, BA Profit Bridge)

  • Responsible for monthly / quarterly presentations (DX MT, QOR/PD), ERM and all ad hoc presentations requested

  • Support in special projects and ad hoc requests

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field

  • Required past experience: 5-8 years experience

  • Required amount of travel: 5%

  • Other required knowledge, skills, or expertise:

o Advance knowledge of MS Office Applications

  • Preferred past experience / education in Accounting or Finance

Summary: The Program Finance Analyst serves as an integral part of the Program Finance team and is the key point of analytical support for clinical and program deliverables. This individual will assist in the day to day support of the financial activities and controls for relevant clinical trials and will responsible for Clinical Trial modelling in the ClearTrial tool, report generation from COMPASS (the Regeneron Project Tracking tool) and vendor management. This position is also responsible for all clinical trial inputs into our financial planning system (Hyperion). For the overall program, the Program Finance Analyst will assist in the reconcilation of actual to forecast expenditures and will maintain the detailed program files for their designated Therapeutic Area programs. Responsibilities: Assist the Program Finance Team on the Planning, Forecasting and Reconciliation of financials for the designated Therapeutic Area Programs. Model Clinical Trial scenarios in the ClearTrial budget forecasting tool. Generate and analyze reports from the Compass Project Tracking tool with a particular focus on FTE utilization. Assist in the Review and Management of Purchase Order Requisitions and change orders, Vendor Payments and outstanding commitments related to the designated. Manage the input of clinical trial FTE and external costs into Hyperion. Review Clinical Financial dashboards to ensure data integrity. Assist in the financial preparation for BLA submissions. Prepare financial analysis in support of ad hoc requests and projects. Serve as a liaison between Finance and Clinical teams Maintain Program files for all programs in the designated Therapeutic Area Assist in the preparation of Blue Sheet Budgets for internal approval/signature Requirements: BS/BA in a Financial or other quantitative discipline with at least two years of experience in analysis Critical thinking and problem solving skills are required. Strong attention to detail required. Strong organization skills necessary. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with various levels of personnel. Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel. Advanced Excel skills needed to manipulate raw data and provide meaningful analysis (Vlookup, Pivot tables, IF statements, macros). Experience with Hyperion, ClearTrial and Qlik dashboarding is a significant plus. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
