Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning & forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies.

As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical skills. Ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets of high complexity. 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. CPA/MBA desired.

Position/Organization Overview:

The mission statement for Global Business Finance (GBF) is to drive business results through financial insight, by providing relevant, reliable and timely information through efficient global analysis and processes.

Oracle University (OU) Finance is part of the CSS Finance team under GBF. OU Finance is chartered to support Oracle's Education Line of Business globally. This position is within the global group of the OU Finance team.

Reports to Director of OU Global Finance and will also provide direct support to Senior Director of OU Finance. Frequent interactions with OU senior management and weekly coordination with OU GFIC team in India.

Role / Responsibilities:

This position will contribute individually and work closely with other finance team members, both locally and at a distance. Responsibilities will include both routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting. The candidate must have strong organization skills and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment where he/she often operate independently and under tight timelines.

  • Support the weekly OU business forecast process. Serve as the point of contact for consolidations and reporting.

  • Develop an understanding of critical business performance drivers.

  • Building and maintaining KPI dashboards by utilizing Oracle BI tools and systems.

  • Serve as the primary finance superuser of Oracle University's Triton/Athena BI Data warehouse

  • Assist with the financial presentations to the business unit EVP and the preparation of quarterly reporting schedules.

  • Provide periodic and ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting in support of OU executive management.

  • Assist with other special projects, including system implementations and standardization efforts

Personal Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or MIS.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIS, Finance, and/or Planning & Analysis

  • Familiarity with creating analysis and dashboards in Oracle BI environment will be HIGHLY desirable

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Results oriented and self motivated.

  • Ability to build trust and credibility

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Highest standard of business ethics

  • Knowledge of subscription revenue model is not required, but preferred
