Position Title Financial Aid Systems Assistant Position Number 896942 School/Division Enrollment Management Department Student Enrollment, Engagement & Success - Office of Financial Aid Full-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director for Financial Aid Information Systems, this position provides operational support to the Office of Financial Aid through data processing. Candidates must be willing and able to handle all aspects of administration and adhere to rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA. Additional hours, evenings and weekends, will be required in support of special projects and events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains and monitors computerized student financial aid data.

  • Performs daily technical processes of the office.

  • Imports and exports financial aid data to and from campus systems and external agencies using Ellucian Banner.

  • Weekly communication generation.

  • Completes projects upon request.

  • Assist with outreach efforts on campus.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 0 - 2 years of related experience.

  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Possess strong skills in organizational management and task completion, as well as the ability to multi-task while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and to collaborate as appropriate.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.

  • Must exhibit good professional judgement, computer skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Must have reliable means of transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with computerized financial aid systems, especially Ellucian Banner and previous college financial aid experience is preferred.

Salary/Salary Range $48,000

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
