Purdue University Fort Wayne invites applications for the Financial Aid Operations Director position for the Financial Aid Office. This position will:
Provide day-to-day oversight of the Financial Aid Office
Will work closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Success to ensure proper training of campus constituents, timely assessment and reporting, and leadership for the department
Effectively and efficiently manage departmental budget and allocate funds to enhance student success
Develop, coordinate and execute recurring assessments of departmental operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy of customer service
Provide oversight and direction to the Financial Aid Leadership Team
Effectively supervise Financial Aid Office Assistant Directors
Develop and assess professional development program for entry and mid-level Financial Aid staff members
Utilize departmental and institutional data, recommend student success improvement strategies to the AVC and implement accordingly
Remain current on and oversee execution of financial aid regulations and best practices
Provide oversight for federal, staff, system, and local compliance of all financial aid programs
Lead Financial Aid Leadership Team, SIS, Bursar, and other university officials to produce timely, accurate, and efficient state, federal, system, and university reports
Partner with systems team to serve as point person, planning contact, and decision-making for all Financial Aid and Student Information Systems and processes
Provide oversight for all campus-based aid programs and serve as institutional contact to establish, maintain, assess, and troubleshoot accordingly
Serve students via telephone, email, and walk-in, answering complex problems, serving as go-to decision-maker for all Financial Aid staff members, etc.
Develop and execute communication campaigns to prospective, incoming, and returning students as it relates to application for and understanding of financial aid packages
Serve as a member of the Enrollment Management Divisional Team and other duties as assigned
Five years of progressive university financial aid experience
Financial Aid systems knowledge/experience
Financial Aid compliance experience
Understanding of and appreciation for diversity
Must have a valid driver's license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Policy
Master's degree or master's degree in progress
Budget management experience
