FINANCIAL AID DIRECTOR Location:Sarasota, FLSchool Name:Everglades University

Everglades University is a growing, accredited, private not-for-profit university offering innovative bachelor's and master's degree programs that prepare students to advance in their careers or fields of study.

The EU Sarasota campus is seeking results-oriented, energetic individuals who can work in a fast paced environment and who have effective decision making skills and customer service experience. Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree to be considered.

DESCRIPTION

The Financial Aid Director oversees the Financial Aid Department and ensures students are properly funded, packaged, and prepared to start each semester. The Financial Aid Director accomplishes this through:

Overseeing student funding

Determine the student's title IV eligibility

Create cost estimates and explain funding options to the students and parents

Work with students to obtain the documentation necessary to process their aid if they are selected for verification

Review weekly reports to ensure all students' financial aid has been processed

Submit, monitor, and track student financial aid packages

Ensure Financial aid packages are processed by established deadlines

Ensure a low rate of return due to errors on all packages submitted to be processed

Provide excellent customer service and answers to student inquiries

Preparing graduating and exiting students

Managing team performance

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree required
5 Years of Financial Aid Experience

Demonstrated ability of Key Behaviors

Knowledge of Federal and State funding programs

Knowledge of title IV regulations

Knowledge of CampusNexus software

Financial Aid Experience preferred

VA Certifying Official preferred

Banking or Finance work experience and/or Finance degree preferred

Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job on a weekly basis

The Financial Aid Director must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of financial aid experience. The Financial Aid Director must have recent experience with current laws, regulations, and financing options.
