This position reports to the Associate Director of Financial Aid and is responsible for assisting in the administration of the financial aid program by reviewing financial aid applications, performing need analysis, determining eligibility and awarding financial aid program funds in accordance with Federal and USNH policies/regulations.

Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience in financial aid administration, or Associates Degree plus 3 years experience.
Familiarity with U.S. Office of Education policies/procedures governing federal aid programs and need analysis procedures.
Ability to function under time restraints and in pressure situations.
Some familiarity with computerized record systems for financial aid.
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Be able to work independently on a day-to-day basis but also be capable of working collaboratively as part of the larger team to ensure financial aid packages are delivered timely and accurately.
Attention to detail is a must.

Review Aid Applications and Develop Financial Aid Offers
Review financial aid applications for accuracy.
Make Corrections as needed.
Perform Verification
Confirm eligibility
Responsible for the development of all financial aid offers including federal, state, and institutional aid, using professional judgment and knowledge of federal and state regulations, and institutional guidelines. Perform aid adjustments as needed. Monitor student progress for re-instatement of aid based on meeting Sap or Merit Scholarship criteria.

Reconcile all federal loan accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist with annual audit of awards. Maintain records of scholarships and financial aid granted in accordance with federal and state policies and institutional guidelines and prepare periodic reports/forms, as directed.
