The Financial Affairs Officer administers student aid programs by monitoring and maintaining compliance with regulations, maintaining records and required documentation, and maintaining student aid accounts. Counseling of students related to financial aid concerns is also a significant function.
The Financial Affairs Officer also maintains source and detail documentation for the School of Nursing student tuition accounts receivable. Responsibilities include posting of tuition and fee charges, collecting of payments, and crediting Federal and State student financial assistance awards to the accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Minimum education:
Associates Degree in Business or Counseling. Preferred Bachelor#s Degree, Minimum experience: 2 years experience in financial aid, accounting/bookkeeping and/or student counseling, Strong computer skills and knowledge including Word, Excel, windows/Dos and mouse navigation, Excellent communication skills both oral and written, Ability to work in a calm, professional manner, Ability to work as a team player with department head, Ability to organize complex tasks and meets deadlines, Ability to juggle priorities and work well under pressure.
