What is the opportunity?

RBC Wealth Management is growing and our adivsory business is expanding! This position as a Financial Advisor Recruiter is an integral member of the PCG Advisor Recruiting and Retention team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to source and attract qualified, diverse, top-tier, talent that meet RBC's critical Financial Advisor hiring needs. You will successfully partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide competitive business and market intelligence. We need a self-starter with a proven ability to build and grow relationships that will drive our business results.

What will you do?

  • Partner with Complex Directors, Divisional leader and Sourcing Program Manager to create sourcing and recruitment strategies.

  • Identify, attract and engage talent who are not typically found through traditional, active sourcing channels.

  • Evaluate motivators of passive and active candidates as well as influence candidate decision making.

  • Effectively manage ongoing relationships with external candidates, as well as internal stakeholders.

  • Utilize Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales Force and leverage a variety of databases and Social network tools to identify talent for strategic and hard to fill roles.

  • Source and pre-screen candidates from online databases, contact lists, RBC ATS and employee referrals.

  • Prepare detailed sourcing reports to help the recruitment team identify effective sourcing channels.

  • Report on effective recruiting trends and recommend specific courses of action based on market data.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant recruitment experience with a primary focus on identification and candidate development.

  • Prior sales and pipeline management experience and experience in financial services/banking is required.

  • A strong affinity towards client service and demonstrated ability to establish credibility to build and grow effective and productive working relationships.

  • Strong knowledge using various web-based search databases, professional networking sites.

  • Strong relationship building and management skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative culture of high performance.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in financial services/banking.

  • Series 7, 63 & 65 or 66.

The Senior Technical Recruiter - Financial Services is responsible for Service Excellence throughout the recruitment cycle. The Senior Recruiter acts as a brand ambassador for their client and partners with the hiring managers in a consultative capacity. They are focused on delivering top talent for their hiring managers while providing proactive and timely communication on the status of the search. The Senior Recruiter is expected to stay abreast of industry and market specific information or trends that could impact the search. They will act as a mentor to Recruiters as well as other team members. They demonstrate innovation and outside of the box thinking with their search techniques. Responsibilities Finding Candidates: * Complete a detailed job scope conversation with the hiring leader to determine position specifications. * Timely review of applicants who have applied via the applicant tracking system. * Build and deploy effective recruitment marketing campaigns specific to the job opening. * Source candidates via resume databases and networking sites using sophisticated Boolean search language. * Source candidates via social media channels and deep web sourcing techniques. * Generate targeted lists of passive candidates using member subscriptions and technologies. * Solicit and pursue referrals from business networks and/or internal referrals. * Utilize proprietary software for mobile and email campaigning to talent communities Engaging Candidates: * Use a sophisticated mix of media to connect with talent community (phone, email, campaigning, network introductions and social media). * Provide value propositions uniquely tailored to each candidate situation and interest level in the job. * Prepare candidates for interviews; providing logistical information, interview schedule, appropriate attire and expectations for follow up from the recruiter; additional counsel as needed. * Ensure all candidates are provided with timely updates concerning the status of their applications and interviews. * Throughout the process, keeps a strong pulse on the interest levels and/or concerns of top candidates. Assessing Candidates: * Conduct professional and thoughtful phone interviews that are infused with industry/role specific probing questions as the conversation/interview dictates. * Navigate difficult conversations in order to gather appropriate information. * Compare candidate phone interview notes and skills assessments with requisition specifications to determine if the candidate is a match for the role. * Apply consideration for factors relative to candidate fit to team and cultural fit. * Issue skills testing as needed and evaluate results (if process dictates). * Review background and reference information (if process dictates). Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree in business, management, human resources or related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered. Experience: * Minimum of five or more years results-oriented recruiting experience working in an in-house, RPO or agency setting. * 3+ years of technical recruitment experience is required. * Previous Financial Services industry experience is highly preferred Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Must be able to site on-site at the client location in Manhattan. * Ability to showcase niche segment or industry expertise. * Ability to employ technologies in the recruiting process that create efficiencies. * Adhere to documentation and processes for compliance. * Experience utilizing deep web sourcing techniques.
