If you want to join a fast-growing, dynamic team via Accountemps, you might be a good fit for this Financial Analyst position, where you will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is based in the Ogden, Utah, area. The strongest candidates for this Financial Analyst position will be able to conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. In this position, you will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. Your responsibilities

  • Work next to cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

  • Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance

  • Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Facilitate effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Complete and direct forecasting reports

  • Keep up weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment level Bookings and P L forecasting

  • Analyze annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations and supply information to business partners to inform decision making

  • Flexible individual that feels comfortable operating under high expectations while dealing with a large amount of information- Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

  • Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Microsoft Excel experience desired

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
