The Financial Accounting Lead Consultant is responsible for providing overall strategic and tactical leadership for the GPS Financial Accounting team, within the Global Tax, Compliance, Controls and Innovation COE for Global Payroll Services. This key leadership role, will manage the payroll finance and accounting tasks and objectives to include: Executive Comp, RSR, trailing liabilities U.S. audit oversights, quality controls, and compliance.
He/she will manage internal and external partnerships and act as liaison with key stakeholder groups such as finance, accounting and corporate tax. Person in this role is tasked to minimize compliance risk and optimize organizational performance along with driving forward with innovative strategies and forward thinking solutions.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS):
Manage, lead and accountable for the Global Payroll Services Finance and Accounting team(s), tasks and objectives within the GPS Global Tax, Compliance, Controls and Innovation COE.
Ensure that all standard operating procedures are being executed as designed, while validating that all quality and audit controls are being adhered to.
Accountable for GL reconciliation and that all Journal Entries and approvals are being executed as designed and are accomplished in a timely manner to meet all deadlines.
Accountable for the payroll and tax funding processes, while collaborating with treasury to ensure all funding amounts are correct and timely.
Oversight of the Global Payroll Executive Compensation, Restricted Share Rights (RSR) and Trailing Liabilities program(s).
Manage the payroll charges to entities transactions to verify correct application of expense reporting. Furthermore, oversee global entity management as applicable.
Responsible for engagement, to include direct leadership with U.S. (Federal, state and local jurisdictions) based audits.
M&A and divesture activity support, to include pre and post transaction activity support.
Expense budgeting and forecasting management for Global Payroll Services. In addition, and where applicable provide approval to GPS COE expenses.
Where applicable, provide direction and oversight with third-party vendors
Lead with (BCP) Business Continuity Program support for the GPS Finance and accounting discipline and as a leader within Global Payroll Service and Human Resources.
Drive and lead an environment of risk mitigation and quality assurance. In addition, proactively seek process excellence and Innovation opportunities.
Actively seek opportunities to coach and mentor Team Members, while establishing an environment of continuous learning, development and growth.

A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
Knowledge and understanding of project management principles: coordinating, planning and executing through all phases
3+ years of leadership or management experience
Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes as part of a human resources function
Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
Public accounting experience
A BS/BA degree or higher
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Other Desired Qualifications
5+ years of Global Payroll Finance, Accounting and complex entity structure management
Executive Compensation, Equity and Trailing Liability program experience
Experience with taxation on Executive Compensation, Deferred Compensation and Equity Compensation
Strong knowledge of accounting principles to include complex GL account reconciliations
Experience and knowledge of risk mitigation and controls approaches and oversight
Proven experience with leading audit engagements either with internal audits or with external jurisdictions
Merger, Acquisition, and Divestiture experience
Certified Public Accountant
Experience managing effective partnerships with Corp PMOs, senior leaders and external vendors
