Job Store Staffing is seeking reliable, hard-working Finance/HR Assistant for a reputable business here in Colorado Springs. The selected candidate would split their time between the two areas. This is a first shift position, Monday-Friday, temporary position (3-6 months, with a possibility to go longer.) Pay Rate is $17/hr.

Qualified candidates will need great grammar and communication skills as they will be dealing with customers, employees, and job candidates. They will also need strong excel skills (more for the finance support) and be comfortable with computers. Overall, candidates need to be agile and quick to adjust to many different tasks rather than go deep in any one thing.

The USAFA Athletics Department supports key aspects of this training, fielding 27 NCAA Division I teams, and overseeing physical education and intermural competition for all cadets attending the Academy. Aleut Aerospace Engineering is a certified 8(a) Alaska Native Corporation serving USAFA in a number of technical support roles. Aleut's mission mirrors that of USAFA, with an integrity-centric team focused on delivery of exceptional solutions, service, and value. Aleut Aerospace Engineering is currently searching for a teammate to serve the USAFA Athletics Finance department as a Financial Analyst. Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: * Provide budget/accounting/reporting support to the Athletic Department Finance Division. * Provide written recommendations on policy for program funding efforts which may entail edits to or drafting of guidance, instructions, or policy memos for government consideration. * Assist in receiving and processing funding documents requiring government acceptance, to include MIPRs, POs, AF616s, and Form 9s. * Daily reconciliation of team travel vouchers ensuring expense/receipt match and accurate calculations in accordance with travel policy prior to government review and approval. * Prepare, attend, and present current status of Finance Department support efforts, timeline of events, any relevant issues, and budget information in support of the athletic program in weekly status meetings and USAFA/FM led Resource Advisor training. * Contribute to the creation, modification, and maintenance of procedural continuity documents for specific USAFA athletics program tasks related to current roles, responsibilities, training needs, and required reporting. * Generate, update, maintain, and provide internal planning documents specific to the Athletic Department. * Compiling (writing) draft program evaluations from Athletic Department subject matter experts, scheduling weekly and quarterly program meetings (APF & NAF programs); and compiling (writing) draft follow-up actions. * Archive, store, and locate all documents and materials created or modified on the Athletics Department server. * Provide team travel customer service support to the Athletic Department coaching staffs by assisting USAFA travel providers (Athletic Department Logistics, CTO, LRS, Cooperative Agreement Travel Agents) in the successful scheduling/execution/cost control of intercollegiate travel itineraries in accordance with AF/USAFA/NCAA travel policies. * No travel is currently anticipated with this position. Required Skills * Excellent writing skills and attention to detail are required. * Expert/power user proficiency with Microsoft Excel (to include the use of pivot tables and basic statistical tools) is required. * Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word and PowerPoint) and Adobe applications is required. * Proficient skill in preparing written forms, schedules, and reports related to the program evaluations, obligation and expenditures of funds is required. * Background in government financial management, business etiquette, and technical editing is desired. * Background in project management and college athletic programs is desired. * Ability to interpret and apply AFIs and DoD and USAFA guidelines in the performance of the stated tasks is desired. Required Experience * AA/AS degree in Business or a Business-related field is desired. * Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute assigned budget to support the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of support activities/organizations is required. * Proficiency in gathering, assembling, and analyzing source of factual information, such as that found in accounting reports, payroll records, work reports, or inventory and supply data is required. * Experience with automated data processing software programs and capabilities used to accomplish budget/funding tasks is required. * Prior military or government services experience working in a finance role is highly desired. * Proof of US citizenship or valid alien resident status is required.
