Metallurgical Plant Controller

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance activities at one or more manufacturing locations

  • Understand the business strategy related to, and conduct analyses for, sales, manufacturing and operating expenses, to enable effective decision making and to help develop the plants' strategic vision

  • Complete the monthly close process, financial reporting, and budgeting and forecasting

  • Communicate the monthly, quarterly and annual results to allow a cross-functional team to understand the drivers of business performance

  • Understand and effectively communicate how strategic initiatives that are being evaluated can influence the cost of manufacturing products.

  • Develop and manage the sales, manufacturing and operating expense budgets and reporting of actuals.

  • Ensure compliance with all financial policies, closing schedules, and budget and forecast deliverables

  • Oversee outsource financial providers and serve as the financial lead in AFE preparation.

Skills/Requirements:

  • 4-year secondary degree in Accounting or Finance, with an MBA preferred

  • 5- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in a metallurgical or chemical facility preferred

  • SAP or Oracle, standard costing, and cost accounting experience

  • In depth, professional knowledge of process manufacturing

  • Ability to understand business strategy & implement at the local level

  • Ability to influence others, including business leadership and plant management

VIEW JOBS 2/13/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-13T00:00 Role Summary: The Chemical Technician will be responsible for day-to-day Chemical operations in a PSM-Compliant Chemical Plant. Essential Responsibilities: * Conduct detailed set-up and tear-down of chemical equipment in a high-volume, batch production environment * Serve as a resource to other technicians in trouble shooting and identifying equipment issues * Responsible for installation of components and re-build of chemical process equipment * Monitor chemical levels and maintain process chemical supply levels * Mix and measure chemical batches using quantitative measurement tools * Conduct routine maintenance and operation of process systems and equipment across assigned process zone and occasionally in cross functional areas * Conduct work practices with safety and quality in mind in a 24/7 production environment * Complete required business and regulatory process documentation * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment * Be responsible for ensuring facility equipment and inventory/consumable levels are accurate * Participate and actively engage in quality and continuous improvement projects * Communicate effectively with peers, management, & external stakeholders * Must be able to work in second shift/night shifts. * Utilize business software such as ERP and quality/EHS software Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma/GED * Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Chemical Plant environment * ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to work off/varied shift/weekends, as required This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
