• Virtual Appointments as well as Scheduled Onsite Appointments (Within Territory) – Experience not Required – We will Train Auditors, CPAs, aspiring CPAs and anyone with an Accounting or Finance related degree are also encouraged to apply ( Recent Graduates are welcome) We are a Premium Audit company with clients in Richmond, and surrounding areas, and need individuals to perform location-based Payroll Audits for us. We provide Premium Auditing Services for Self-Insured Entities.
  
  We offer on-site audits for clients, where we verify employee counts, job titles, and payroll totals, to ensure the proper premium amounts are paid in workers compensation insurance. As an Independent Field Auditor , you will operate from your Home Office, where you will be responsible for scheduling and visiting with your assigned Contacts to complete Workers' Comp Payroll Audits. The audits generally involve reviewing the Insured's Payroll Records and Tax Documents as well as verifying and determining the Appropriate Classifications for their business activities.
  
  While experience as an auditor is not required, nor any other certificate, strong organizational skills, and a comfort with numbers, payroll data, etc., would be highly useful. The work is contract based and would be paid hourly with the contract running from August to November, with the potential for continuing and recuring opportunities after this initial period. The workload is up to the individual, but we ask that whatever they commit to, should be completed.
  
  Position Advantages: Work from home as an Independent Contractor (1099) A permanent seasonal position with a long-standing well-respected service company Negotiable travel territory and assignment workload based upon availability and prior experience Flexible P/T position where you set your own schedule within clearly defined time restraints Great pay rate with high earnings potential (Road Warriors Welcome) General Applicant Requirements: 1 years’ experience as an Insurance Premium Field Auditor Preferred… or Accounting/Finance Degree (or equivalent) … or 1 years’ experience in a related Insurance, Bookkeeping, or other Fieldwork-Type Position Related Fields Include: Accounting, Payroll, A/P & A/R, Insurance Agency Work, Field Services, Risk Management, Consultant, Field Inspector, Cost Estimator, Internal Auditor, etc.
  
  Additional Requirements: Ability to work independently Ability to read and interpret payroll reports and tax documents General computer and typing skills to include Windows, email, internet, etc Excellent Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in Excel All applicants will be tested on their Excel spreadsheet knowledge and abilities Self-motivated, with a desire to learn new skills and principles, and make timely corrections to any mistakes or omissions Ability to follow and apply guidelines set-forth in provided bulletins, manuals, and by state rules and regulations Have a reliable vehicle ( position involves travel to prescheduled appointments within your territory ) Have a current and valid driver's license Have a computer (preferably a laptop) with Excel installed (upgraded version can be provided) Have a printer/scanner Have high speed internet access at home/office Have a mobile phone with adequate coverage for area/territory Understand this is a part-time, pay-for-completion position, with bi-monthly paychecks based upon completed assignments Understand that hourly fee rates will be commensurate with experience and job performance and are averages calculated based on prior audits.
